What a terrific trip we had on Thursday to the Flynn Theater! Brookside students did such a remarkable job as a respectful audience - everyone should feel so proud of themselves! We were 9 busses and took up almost the entire lower center section of the theater. It was the first time that the entire school has attended the Flynn since before COVID, and the first time our Pre-K students were able to join us!
Students have been creating 'kindness balloons' during their Wellness Workshops!
For the month of January, BPS students have been working on 2 units, volleyball and snowboarding (depending on the weather and snow conditions). In snowboarding we are working on J turns and in volleyball we are working on underhand serve, bump and set.
Choice Day next week: The students have earned a Choice Day in PE by coming to class prepared (sneakers and water bottle) and following the School Codes (Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful and Be Kind). Keep up the great work!
Kid's Heart Challenge: February is Heart Month. BPS students will be participating in the American Heart Association's Kids Heart Challenge next month. Look for a parent letter the first week in February.
Sneaker donations: We are looking for good/used sneakers to add to our dwindling supply of sneakers to borrow in the gym. If you have some sneakers to donate, please send them in with your child- they can bring them directly to the gym. We are specifically looking for sizes 12-4.
Thank you for sharing your children with us!
