Chris Neville

Co-Principal

The 23-24 school year marks the start of 19th year in education and my 13th as a building administrator. I have had the great pleasure of serving as the principal in 3 different schools in the Denver metro area. Before that, I was a Special Education Teacher. My family and I moved to Waterbury in the summer of 2021. I could not pass up the opportunity to live in such a beautiful area and to work at Brookside alongside Ms. Schoolcraft. My wife, Becca, is a Speech/Language Pathologist at Waitsfield Elementary School. Both my wife and I grew up in the northeast and are excited to be closer to our families. We have two young children, Rocco and Autumn. Rocco is a lively preschooler and Autumn is in first grade. They are full of joy and energy:) I love kids and feel blessed to have the opportunity to impact the lives of our students and their families. My greatest hope is that we, as a school community, foster and support the natural curiosity that is a hallmark of childhood. I look forward to our continued partnership!

Sarah Schoolcraft

Co-Principal

I am thrilled to be working as a Co-Principal at Brookside Primary School! This is my 21st year in education and my 5th year as an administrator.  After 16 years as a classroom teacher, special educator and instructional coach, I have had the privilege of being part of the administrative team at Brookside since 2019. Mr. Neville and I love teaming in the leadership of this incredible school, in our equally awesome community. One fun fact about us is that we both grew up in upstate New York, and are both now community members in Waterbury and Duxbury! I have three children:  Alex attends high school in New Hampshire, June attends middle school at CBMS and Joel, my youngest is here at BPS with me.  My spouse is also a school leader in HUUSD. I am eager to continue to strengthen our home-school partnerships as the “village” that all children deserve and I look forward to continuing to foster a place where all children get what they need.
