Brookside Blast 3/24/23

Updated: Jun 10, 2023

With the daylight savings time change this month and the vernal equinox this week, spring is finally starting to seem a reality (despite last week's snowstorm and the amount of snow still on the hills!).

Third and fourth graders enjoyed their last day at Sugarbush, first graders had a visit from the sled dogs and mushers, and students in all grades enjoyed time outside.

Bus Change (8 & 3 PM Route combined)

Brookside Primary School students who ride bus 8 in the afternoon should now ride bus 3, except for students going to Shaw Mansion Road. Shaw Mansion Road students should board bus 7 in the afternoon.

This change will be in effect Monday March 27, 2023, through the end of the school year.

You can find the revised bus routes here: https://huusd.org/bus-routes

BPS Yearbook

We are excited to announce the return of a yearbook for BPS students this year! Yearbooks will be provided for 4th grade students. Please indicate if you would be interested in purchasing a yearbook (for PreK-3rd grade students) at the link here.

PE News

For the next couple of weeks students will be working on Lacrosse skills (and games with older classes), fitness stations/fitness knowledge and fitness assessments. Although students are not graded on their fitness levels, it is important for them to understand their strengths/weaknesses and activities that they can pursue to improve or maintain their fitness levels.
